Message from Secretary

It is my honor to serve as the General Secretary of the Asia Pacific Burn Association (APBA). Our Association is committed to advancing burn care across a region characterized by high population density, unequal access to specialized facilities, and a high frequency of burn-related accidents. Burn injuries are complex, requiring multidisciplinary expertise, substantial resources, and prolonged rehabilitation. A single incident can overwhelm local systems, underscoring the urgent need for preparedness and collaboration. Through conferences, training, mentorship, and partnerships, APBA fosters education, prevention, strengthens capacity, and builds rapid response systems. Together, we aim to reduce suffering, save lives, and create a stronger future for burn care.
